After a week of seeing over 20 movies (including several at midnight) and still working I'm kind of tired. Throw in a Goldfrapp show last night for the hell of it and I'm badly in need of sleep.
Heres a few newbies to the world that are worthy of a listen.
The Gutter Twins - Duchess (Scott Walker Cover)
from the Adorata ep which is only available from iTunes shows a bit more of a solid sound from the group... whever album number 2 comes out it should be a heavy.
Okkervil River - Lost Coastlines
the Stand Ins is out now... the follow up to Stage Names is really more of the same but there's nothing wrong with that in the least.

Nice choice of a Scott Walker song, but there's no way it could be better than the original.
It's a pretty straightforward cover, Lanegan's voice works great with it.
I hope Rod Stewart covers Walker sometime, yeah, that's what I'd want to hear.
